BRING AYN HOME

Makayla Yaxley has never met Ayn van Dyk, in fact they live nearly 5000 km from each other, half way across Canada.

Makayla's mom told her what happened to Ayn and she is very concerned about her, perhaps because she has a sister she loves very much who is autistic like Ayn. She can understand how difficult this must be for Ayn and she hopes Ayn gets home before Christmas. Makayla says she cant imagine the pain it would feel like not being with those who love her. She knows the struggles Ayn's brothers must be going through because she would be at a total loss if she ever lost her own sister.

Makayla expresses what she is feeling in this artwork she does for Ayn, letting Ayn know that she thinks of her everyday and she'll be asking Santa to send her home for Christmas.

  1. My sweet Makayla. She is such an amazing young lady with such a good heart. I'm in awe of her everyday. When we found out her little sister had Autism Makayla took on her own role to educated people on it. She has done all her school speeches on Autism and educated all her class mates she has also participated on the first ever walk for Autism montreal while walking for hours going door to door raising money with a broken leg <3. Why is it that an 11 year old can see that taking a child from their loving home is not right yet grown ups don't? How can a child see how messed up our world as become while were all blind to it?.. This is not right, and Makayla will tell you the same.. THERE'S NOTHING WRONG WITH BEING DIFFERENT!

  6. Makayla,

You have a great life now and a great future because of your wisdom and wonderful heart. I think you may be the one who says just the right thing to the right person, to get Ayn home.

Maybe it will come to you in a dream, how this may be accomplished. Maybe you are already working on a plan. But it seems you have a special power and a voice that will be heard.
